Director: Eugenio Martin; Stars: Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing; Release Date: May 09, 2006
Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing star in this creepy tale of a long-frozen "missing link" discovered in the ice in Northern China. As the frozen relic is being transported to England via a trans-Siberian train, passengers begin turning up dead, their eyes drained of all color. This excellent forgotten horror gem has the look and feel of a Hammer production, though it's Spanish. Oh, and Telly Savalas is in it, too!

Events in Japan played a huge part in forming the overall story of World War II, with HORROR IN THE EAST attempting to document them in this fascinating program on the atrocities that unfolded. What sets this apart from the usual World War II coverage is that it tries to examine the motivations behind the gruesome scenes that took place, with Japanese and British correspondents spoken to at length about the events. Some vintage footage has been exhumed from the vaults to help offer a visual representation of Japan at this time, while interviews are conducted with a number of key witnesses who played a vital part in the war.

John Howard
Several little-known vintage horror films are gathered here, including 1942's THE UNDYING MONSTER and 1944's THE LODGER, followed by 1945's HANGOVER SQUARE.

In the first film, a Scotland Yard inspector must figure out who or what has been preying on members of a rich English social circle. Next, a London family takes in a boarder who may or may not be Jack the Ripper himself! Finally, a composer finds work so stressful that he keeps waking up to realize he's blacked out and has gone on a murdering spree.
